Mom and Sister Came To Town!

My mom and sister came to visit us for the night on Saturday!

I was so excited about this for a couple of reasons.

1. I love my mom and sister. :)

2. We've never had out of town guests stay the night with us, & I love visitors.

3. We've never had anyone over for dinner, so I got to make food pretty!

4. I got to see how it works entertaining in such a small space and if I ever would do it again, and I will!

5. I love an excuse to get fresh flowers!

Central Market has this 3 for $12 thing so I love to pick 3 different kinds and mix them up between my 4 vases. I love fresh flowers in every room.

Anyways, so they got here Saturday afternoon and it was nice to just sit and talk. Mom hadn't seen our home since the wedding day so it looks A LOT different, and she thought it was super cute. Mom stamp of approval!! :) We kept it casual with cheeseburgers and homemade fries, fruit and I made some more of those cookies.

Sunday we went to this GIANT antique mall. A little too big if you ask me. Hard to stay focused and see it all! But I made two great finds, some old ornaments and a dress!

We don't have any Christmas stuff so I was excited to find the ornaments.

We went to lunch at one of my favorite places, Walton's Fancy and Staple, after. And then it was "goodbye." :( A short trip but a great trip! Hope they get to come back soon.

Last night we went to Sarah and Dave's for supper and the Mad Men season finale which was AWESOME!!! Can not wait till next season!!

And now its a busy week sewing curtains for Sarah and getting ready for the Ford/Russell Wedding!!!!!!!!
