Finally, I am able to sit down and post about our little vacation!
We were gone for 8 days, and we probably drove a total of 30 hours in those days!!
A lot of driving, but we had a great time and got to see a lot of people.
We left Friday evening, headed for Texarkana and a Wedding Rehearsal Saturday morning in Hot Springs, Arkansas. Needless to say we didn't get too much sleep Friday night.
(Little did we know this was going to continue to happen!)
The Groom and his lovely Bride
Sally we missed you!!!!
I came back to Texarkana after the rehearsal lunch and got to hang out for Amber's birthday!
I only took one picture, but I think its the best one I could have gotten!
Sunday morning I was supposed to get up, get ready, and head back to Hot Springs, but, well I pretty much died. And so sadly I missed the wedding :( I heard it was beautiful though. And made it just in time for the reception, at which I was excited to get to wear my new vintage 40's dress!
Girls I wish I got to hang out more often with, Carman and Heather!
milk shots! haha
The Newlyweds!!!
I was so glad Micah got to spend so much time with his boyfriends!
Me and my handsome date :)
Aren't they the cutest couple??
My new dress! I love it.
After the reception, we left for Eureka Springs, AR for our actual vacation. A trip that was supposed to take us 4 1/2 hours...but due to really heavy rain and horrible fog...it took us 8. EIGHT HOURS! But we made it.
We stayed at the cutest little cottage with Angela and Mylon and had a really wonderful time!
Brunch :)
We all bought hats!! Aren't they cute??
Our only group picture..it started to rain! :(
Grilling out! in FREEEZING weather!
The boys in the cute kitchen.
BATMANNN! hhahaha :) dont worry he didnt eat it all.
My husband really likes eggs. Micah and Batman look a little similar...scary.
The living room.
our last morning :)
headed out!
one last stop for micah to take pictures.
and me to find the ladder i've been looking for!! for our pots and pans!
good thing for that bike rack!!!
Then we got back on the road..headed to Livingston to my moms house!
We stopped here for Micah to take pictures of this cool old house.
But as we were driving through Fayetteville I told Micah to call his friend John David whom he hadn't seen in forever. Maybe we could stop by and meet their baby!
Well we stopped, but we ended up spending the night. And I am so glad because we got to hang out quite a bit, ate an amazing dinner, and play with their precious baby girl, Lyla!
John David introducing his pride and joy to Micah :)
Showing him how to feed her.
Feeding his first baby! :) Makes me so proud :)
seriously, how precious is she!?!?!
at dinner, by far the best food i've ever had! and all natural! thank you!
what a beautiful family, Mindy, John David and Lyla are :)
saying goodbye :( hope to see y'all soon! come to austin sometime!
After Fayetteville we had a 9 hour drive to my moms where we stayed for the night, and then on to The Woodlands to see my family.
And finally back in Austin! We were glad to be home. We had a great week. Lots of driving which means lots of time just hangin out with my wonderful husband :) :) And great memories made with family :)
