This is the first year that I feel old - or older.

I know that 24 is not old, but it sounds crazy to say

I've been out of high school for six years.

Maybe that's because I didn't go to college.

Anyway, I had a really great birthday, getting calls from those I love and eating my favorite pizza with our community here in Austin!

And as awful, selfish and shallow as this may sound,

I think this was the best year as far as gifts go!

Not because of amounts or fancy things, it was just really neat

that every gift I was given was something I genuinely loved, or would have picked

out myself (even one I actually already had!).

It's so neat to have family and friends that know me so well.

I think this is because gift giving is one of my love languages - one of my favorite things is really thinking about it and giving a gift I KNOW they will love.

And so it means a lot that everyone put so much thought into their sweet gifts.

So thank you thank you, to all my family and friends, for all the special birthday wishes, cards and gifts! I love you all so much!
