Hampton's and Tomatoes

We had our first overnight guests!! Good friends Sarah and Dave :)

They are remodeling there house and had no bed for one night,

so of course we welcomed them happily!

And excited for someone to finally use our new pull out!

Micah thought this meal was pretty :) He wanted it on the blog.

He makes us DELICIOUS burgers on the grill.

so i had a fun experiene of making homemade spaghetti sauce!

The meal didn't turn out exactly as planned, but it was still pretty good!

I didn't take a picture of the completed meal..I just didn't think it was pretty enough.

The idea was to make baked spaghetti. I didn't have a recipe. But I knew

kind of what i was going for.

BUT! I did have a fabulous time with this trick of peeling tomatoes!!

First you wash of course.

Bring a big pot of water to boil.

Drop tomatoes in boiling water for one minute.

Then straight to a bowl of ice water for a couple minutes.

Then magic!! The skins come off perfectly!!

So you don't have tough spaghetti sauce.

Soon I want to get a kit to jar things, like sauces and jams.

I read all about it. Im really excited!

I started my new job! With Ruby!! She is just precious! I will take a picture of

her tomorrow! She makes soo many cute and funny facial

expressions I love it. We will become good friends. :)

Excited for a fun weekend with family!!
