Good Church and Good Food

Church at the Austin Stone last night was really, really good. Matt Carter taught and was talking about healing from sin and confessing our sins to others. Bringing them into the light, asking for prayer and support. Micah and I had been talking about this earlier the same day, and how sad it is that we live in such a judgemental culture. We, CHRISTIANS, are all so quick to judge someone else and try to hide our own sin. Wouldn't it be so much better to speak our sin aloud to people who love and support us, to have their prayers for us? Quicker healing could come I believe. He was also saying that God sometimes heals us instantly from our sin, and sometimes it takes time, years, to be healed. This being because God wants us to feel about our sin how He feels about it. He wants us to HATE our sin. During worship at the end we sang a song called "Healer" by Mike Gulielmucci who many of you have probably heard of, and the story behind the song. If not you can probably find it online. But when Matt said we were going to sing it he said, "Now a lot of you are probably thinking 'Matt, why are we going to sing a worship song written by a sinner like that??' We are going to sing it for the same reason you come to church every Sunday and listen to a sinner like me, and sinners like Aaron and Annie lead us in worship. Only one man has lived a sinless life."
I thought it was amazing and so right on. It was a really great service. Very challenging and convicting. I hope people in my life know they can come to me for prayer and support with things they are struggling with.

Also, we went to Sarah and Daves and I brought this Peach and Plum Crisp that Micah and I had at friends Heather and Kelly's house when we were in Texarkana last week. IT WAS SOOOO DELICIOUS!! Things don't usually turn out so great the first time I make them but HOLY MOLY!! I was so proud. I am giving all the credit to the organic perfectly ripe peaches and plums though. MMmmmmm. :) Thanks for the recipe Heather!

Client number 4 is here!! My first only Monday work day is turing out to be a huge success!! Think I'm gonna be able to stick to only mondays!
