A lot has changed around here lately.
Or it feels like that to me anyway.
So I'll just list them out in order of their happening.

1. We became Godparents! This is super exciting. Our dear friends, Justin and Ariel, asked us to be Godparents to their two little girls, Matilda and Lille. We couldn't be happier or feel more special, it means so much to us. We just love them to pieces.Matilda:

2. I got a new job. A full time (overtime) job. This is a HUGE adjustment for me. I have been working an average of 2 days a week for 5 months, and 4 days a week before that. But still no where close to full time. Look at these two cute monkeys I'm runnin after every day,
Samantha:

and Max:

I have known the Kubenas since Samantha was 4 months old so it's nice to already be comfortable with the family. Sam is almost 4 and Max is almost 2 (this month!). They are gettin me in shape that's for sure! Here is a look into a few of our days:

Sam's first day at soccer camp!

Lots of swimming!

We made bird houses for one of our Monday-Craftdays!

Swimming at a little "beach" in west Austin!

Plasma cars in the city! (this was my favorite. they need to make these for adults!)
We have had a blast these last 3 weeks. But it has definitely been an adjustment. For Micah as well. Not only were we so used to seeing each other every day for most of the day, but he has also cooked more meals in the last three weeks than I have (by a lot). He has been amazingly sweet and patient and helpful - I am so blessed to have him. It's a lot but I love the kids and it will (hopefully) be my last job (for a while anyway) so I can stay home and raise some babies!
3. I'm getting certified to be a Doula! (If you don't know what I'm talking about, a Doula is someone who guides and supports women and their partners continuously through labor and birth. They generally provide emotional support, physical comfort, and nonclinical advice.) I could not be more happy about this. It's something I've thrown around off and on between midwife, quilter, baker and who knows what else. :) It all started when we got pregnant in March of 2010. This was a huge unplanned surprise but we were excited. I started doing lots of research about pregnancy and birth and became extremely passionate about natural child birth. Long story short (another post another time), we had a miscarriage in May. But my passion for everything I had learned remained. And so now, after sitting on it for a year or so, I am finally going to do it! And I am THRILLED.

I have ordered all of my books and received half. This book,

is SO wonderful. I seriously can't get enough. Any friends who get pregnant can expect to get this from me as a baby shower gift. :) It will probably take me about a year and half to complete everything I have to do so I'm just being patient, taking my time, and soaking up all the information I can. And hopefully I'll be a doula for all of my friends!
4. Louie keeps getting cuter and funnier. Seriously. He's crazy. We've (I've) taught him a couple tricks:
Sit
Shake
Lay Down
I'm pretty proud. Working on roll over. He is so smart! He got all of those in a day or two. Roll over has proved a bit more difficult.

His favorite position. He crawls around like this a weird amount of the time. Ha.

Louie vs. The Mixer
Haha such a goofy boy. We love him so!
5. Last, but no where close to least, my sweet Micah. Nothing new, I just love this man! He is so wonderfully supportive and encouraging. I don't know what I would do with out him.

Not to mention super handsome. :)

And super cracks me up all the time. I love you, babe!
. . . . .
So that is our life the last couple months!
Love the photos. Glad you like your new job and think your new goals are great!
