That is the majority of my life the last week or so. And though I feel like I have gotten a lot of it done(especially when I just counted 22 boxes), when I look around it seems like I will probably need AT LEAST 10 more!!! It's crazy how much stuff we accumulate in a years time. I guess a lot of it we accumulated around July 10, 2009 with 3 showers and a wedding!
Its funny to think about, as I gently and carefully wrap each thing in ridiculous amounts of bubble wrap and packing paper (for extra cushion of course) how temporary all of this stuff is. I am reminded of it every time I move. Which, since I graduated high school 5 years ago, this will be my... 9th move. Kind of crazy. That means 9th time to change all my bills, 9th time to change my address for banks, netflix, and everything else, and 9th time to move those things that stay boxed up all year long. Why do we keep those things? Because they are memories and have sentimental value? I have some things like that, but then somethings I'm not really sure why I keep, but can't seem to get rid of. Photos are my big thing. I keep every photo, ever. But as I wrap and pack all these things up, as special to me as some of them are, I still can't help but think of how truly temporary they are. And how much they will not matter one day.
But some of the things I have gotten to take out and look at for the first time in a while truly are treasures to me. And I suppose I'll probably keep on packing them safely with each future move we make.
Nice read! :) You little writer you! Seriously.......love it.
