You're Invited!

I'm helping to throw a baby shower for my sweet friend Haylie and on-the-way Jackson

(pictured on an earlier post)

and I just finished the invitations! I'm so pleased with how they turned out.

My inspiration for them was this cute owl fabric I used in her fabric banner for the shower.

Not wanting to throw any of these cuties away, I started the tedious task of cutting them all out of my scraps, not really any reason why at the time. Then it hit me.

INVITATIONS!

Started with a twig and a moon and stars.

Add and owl or two...or three.

And the "You're Invited" on vellum paper attached with these perfect little brads I found on sale at target in 6 different colors.

Makes a neat front of an invitation I think. :)

I wanted something crisp on the inside since the outside had a lot going on.

So more vellum paper over a few different prints of scrapbook paper that ties it all together with the party and the baby room.

I thought sewing it on would be a cleaner, cuter look then messing with glue or tape.

And I just LOVE how it turned out. So much.

And each one is a little different. :)
